One of my favorite things to do is exchange recipes. Any kind of recipe. I love gathering ideas about food and drinks and the encouragement to try something new that goes with it. The best part, for me, when it comes to discussing recipes is the story that comes with it. The best recipes come with history, and that’s what makes them so good.

I was happy to share a recipe of mine a couple of weeks ago with a friend that stopped by. She happens to take beautiful pictures and makes beautiful designs. We got to talk about our love for the fresh limey flavor of a classic margarita and we both agree that there is no comparison between a real margarita and a pre-mixed one. Although its flattering when guest are amazed when I serve them a fresh one, I can hardly take credit for something so simple. If you can cut and juice limes, you can put this cocktail together.

So, I mixed up a quick pitcher while I talked with her about the recipe, travel, her upcoming wedding and wherever else the tequila took us. You can check out the recipe below and you can also learn more about my friend Emily, her visit, and the beautiful work she does here.
